AltaVista
recently redesigned their submission page to require each person to read a
graphical submission code off the screen and input it into their form before
submitting. This has effectively blocked all automated submissions to AltaVista.
Therefore, until an alternative solution can be found, you'll need to submit to
Altavista via their
submission page.
*Each search engine takes a
varying amount of time to add a page to their index. The above times are the
last reported estimates of the time you should expect to wait before showing up
in the database. Run the Reporter periodically and see the Submitter
Verification Report to keep tabs on the status of each submission.
Excite's
server has been randomly rejecting submissions recently. It has been doing this
even when submitting via a browser. Therefore, the best that can be done is to
try the submission again until it succeeds or wait until they resolve their
server problems.
Run mission again to re-submit
failed pages or click View Actual Results for possible causes for the submission
failure.
